Los Angeles contractor repairs all odds and ends

Angie's List members searched the List 999 times in 2010 for Los Angeles unfinished carpentry contractors.

Members have access to company ratings and member reviews of recent services like Barbara Greene's recent report.

Greene recently hired highly rated Dela Woodworks of Redondo Beach, Calif., to repair the side of her detatched garage that was rotting due to improperly positioned sprinklers and dry rot.

Greene decided on Michael Delaurentis of Dela Woodworks after searching the List and reading several of his positive reports.

"Michael was so responsive," she says. "He was easy to talk to, and he explained what needed to be done. He further faxed me a quotation that was - compared to the other two quotes - extremely reasonable."

In addition to repairing the side of Greene's garage in a day and a half, he painted it, repaired her front screen door, built a railing on her deck and repaired a bathroom cabinet.

"Not only do I recommend Michael to anyone who has a need for wood work, but I called him tonight for another project," Greene says. "He called me back immediately, and we are working on the timing."
