Lindenwold contractor refuses to repair shoddy remodel, member says
I hired Edwardo Lopez of Lindenwold, N.J., to tile my kitchen and remodel my bathroom. The tile work around my sink and soffit turned out fine, but he didn’t prepare the walls properly on the other part of the project.
I had expensive marble tile, and I could see the wall bowed. When you ran your fingers over the tile, it was bumpy. The mosaic tile should be flat.
I told the crew what pattern I wanted, and they didn’t follow it. Workers didn’t cut the angles properly to go around the door molding. They also cut the tile on the porch and left the door open, allowing a large amount of dust in my home.
The chair railing was also installed crooked. The job did not look professional, and I told him I was not happy with the work.
I requested that he retile the work, which he declined. He has the payment of $2,600 and the job isn’t complete.
I want a $2,000 refund or for Lopez to correct the work.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
