floaters are bits of matter that float in the vitreous (jelly-fluid) center of the eyeball.  Short of contraversial surgery, nothing can be done about them.  They are harmless but can be extraordinarly annoying;  anyone bothered by them should get checked by their optomologist, however, to make sure the floaters are not a symptom of a more serious retina problem however.  There are online websites and online info. about floaters also...

Absolutely you have rights to your own medical records. You may have to put it in writing and go through the offices records department. Call and ask to speak with the records department and ask their protocol.
