Kitchen remodel results in cracked countertops, member says
The most complicated section he installed had been cracked and he didn’t tell me. When I noticed it and confronted him, he said it’s mostly installed.
He was also supposed to supply me with all of the leftover materials when the job was complete. When he finished, he didn’t have the leftover material, and the counter had a repaired crack in it, so I held back $500.
Numerous attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful. He has my materials, which are worth more than $500, and I have a cracked and repaired countertop instead of a new one. I want him to give me the leftover material and two finished squares with bevels from his sink drops.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
