Kansas City homeowner says concrete company left shoddy work
I hired Henry’s Concrete of Troy, Mo., to pour concrete in the basement, create concrete steps and a sidewalk outdoors. The work was hideous. The floor is uneven all the way across the basement. The tech ran out of concrete, so the outdoor steps are lopsided. The owner says he has over 40 years of experience in the industry, but he’s obviously not learned a single thing about pouring concrete. With no experience, I could’ve done a better job on the floor and steps myself. He was punctual, but not entirely professional. Now, he won’t return my calls since the work is technically done. I’ve tried to negotiate a deal to resolve this, but he refuses to answer my calls. I’d like the bad concrete work ripped out and repoured with a smooth, glass surface the owner promised me. If not, I’d like half the money refunded.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
