Kansas City homeowner calls kitchen remodel magazine-worthy
When Angie’s List member Darrell T. of Kansas City, Missouri, was ready to upgrade his kitchen, he wanted a contractor who would take care of the entire project. Darrell decided to hire highly rated Renovation Pros in Leawood, Kansas, because owner Chad Stock was helpful. “It was a pleasure to work with Chad and his staff from beginning to end,” he writes in his Page of Happiness-nominated review. “They were all very helpful through the entire process.”
The $28,000 job included tearing everything out of the old kitchen, then reinstalling new cabinets with crown molding and granite countertops. The cabinet doors and drawers were all self-closing. The job also included refinishing the hardwood floors and installing a larger island.
Before the job started, Renovation Pros created multiple computer-aided design renderings of the new kitchen to make sure they were on the same page with Darrell. “The CAD drawings were very valuable in this process and provided very detailed images of exactly what would be built,” he says. “Once the final design was ready, Chad worked with my schedule to develop a work plan.”
Darrell says Renovation Pros coordinated with the appliance vendor to ensure they had the right measurements. He says the electrician was top-notch, creating a charging station on the new island and installing dimmable LED under-cabinet and hutch lighting. “The cabinets and finish turned out exactly as planned,” he says.
Darrell plans to hire Renovation Pros for more work on his home, and he refers them to everyone he knows. “My kitchen looks like it came right out of a high-end magazine now,” he says. “It not only looks good, but works even better.”
