Kansas City-area window installer resolves homeowner complaint
A year after they did the work, the windows broke from apparent faulty installation. Set screws were placed incorrectly in the guide rail, causing wear and tear and snapping parts that cause the windows to open and close. The framing is not square, causing air leaks and no seal to the window.
The windows are unable to function properly. I called for service and didn’t hear from them for two weeks. The owner told me he no longer works with the company he contracted the windows from and said he couldn’t repair the windows.
I would like them to refund $1,386.50, half the purchase price.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
