Irving remodeler takes money, doesn’t finish job, homeowner says
I hired Premium General Contracting and Designs in Irving, Texas, for a three-part home remodel. The first part included remodeling my kitchen with new flooring and demolishing a porch. The second part included adding a 320-square-foot room addition where the porch was, finishing the flooring throughout the house and installing new toilets, sinks and showers in two bathrooms. The third part included finish work — painting the entire interior, installing cabinets and appliances in the kitchen.
We signed a contract, and I paid owner Michael Wright $8,000 to get started. But he only tore up the floor. He never came back to finish the work, and he won’t return any phone calls. I want him to come back to finish the job. If he isn’t willing, I want a refund of $8,000.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
