Indy company, homeowner patch up drywall dispute

Member complaint:

I hired Schaefer Improvements of Indianapolis and the owner, Steven Schaefer, for drywall and outdoor column projects. Steven collected my $260 deposit.

He was scheduled to start work on a Monday, but it rained, so he had to cancel. We rescheduled for the following Monday, but he never showed up. The next Monday, it rained again so he couldn’t start that day either.

I’ve not been able to reach him for almost a month since then. I’ve left several messages and haven’t received a response. They did cash my deposit check, even though they didn’t start the drywall project. I need some resolution. I want a full refund of my $260 deposit.
