Indianapolis landscapers, remodelers praised for good work.
Barbara Godzwa says she hired the right company to enhance her landscape. "I wanted my garden and tree areas edged, shrubs trimmed back, weeds pulled, and some mulch applied," Godzwa says. "I called Shane's and Jeff Suter, the landscape designer, came and talked to me. I told him what I wanted, and he explained how it'd be done and how long it'd take. The crew was on time, got right to work and did a great job."
Earth-Wood Arts helped Margaret Drew find her fountain of youth. "I have an old stone fountain that's been ignored for at least 30 years," Drew says. "Mike [van de Bossche, the owner] and his crew not only restored my beloved little fountain but, best of all, they also understood how attached I was to it. It took creativity and ingenuity to get it going again and that's where Mike shined."
Mike Wagner dished out the lowdown on who he thinks is tops. "They removed my countertops and installed a sink, faucet and new quartz countertops," Wagner says. "Jerry [Ward, the owner] is one of the best contractors I've ever worked with. He supervised every step of the installation and made sure that every detail was attended to. His final cleanup was perfect. Except the new countertops, I could hardly tell that a contractor had been in my home."
Linda Hogarth's daughter got to the dance on time. "My daughter's prom dress needed to be taken in, adjusted and hemmed," Hogarth says. "The dress arrived on a Monday and the prom was on Saturday, so we didn't have much time. When we dropped it off, Carmel Tailoring agreed to have the dress done by Thursday. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the dress was done on time and looked great!"
Deb Johnson says her remodeling project went bed, bath and beyond. "They completely remodeled my bedroom and bathroom, including framing the bathroom and closets, running electrical, hanging drywall, painting, and installing flooring and a vanity, toilet and lighting," Johnson says. "Rob [Weinrich, the owner] asked detailed questions and went through a layout drawing in advance. Things went quickly and the work quality was excellent. They went out of their way to be as quiet and neat as possible."
Thanks to great know-how, Paula Berry's machine feels like new. "They tuned up, power washed and replaced the cord on my 1987 Toro mower," Berry says. "When they picked it up, they went over it with me, advising me that some parts may be difficult to find or too costly, and it might not be worth repairing. I was pleasantly surprised - it looks, sounds and feels like they completely rebuilt it."
Rain didn't stop Rebecca Crum from getting good postal service. "My neighbor and I wanted to replace our mailboxes and their two posts with new mailboxes on a single post," Crum says. "After setting up the installation with them, I returned home on a rainy Saturday and realized that the old mailboxes and posts were removed, and the new mailboxes and post were installed. I was surprised the work was done so quickly, especially with the miserable weather."
Kara Pruitt isn't subdued about her rooms' new look. "They painted my great room, kitchen, cabinets, trim and front door," Pruitt says. Dan [Utter, the owner] and his team are absolutely wonderful! They were extremely efficient and productive - keeping on schedule even while going above and beyond what I asked them to do.
They were a delight to work with and their work was excellent."
