HVAC contract confusion yields refund in Charlotte
COMPLAINT: John Chanon, Charlotte
I have had an annual maintenance contract with ARS-Charlotte for several years. The current contract was for two inspections for heating and cooling, but they didn't perform any inspections or render any services.
When I called, I was told everyone was in a meeting. They returned my call and said that [an earlier] inspection was considered a part of this contract and that they owed me one inspection.
I told them that wasn't acceptable because that inspection was for the previous contract. They had to pull "all the records" and I was told to speak with Rick Beaver, the service manager.
When I did, he agreed they had not performed the maintenance inspections. He offered to refund the $218 and said it would take 30 days to process the check. It's been two months and I haven't received a check.
DESIRED RESOLUTION: I want my $218.
