Answered by LCD: Depends a LOT on your existing wiring configuration and whether the circuits were primarily run in open attic or exposed crawlspace/basement floor joists - but here are some previous similar questions with answers which should help put you in the ballpark so you know what to expect when you talk to electriciansfor bids. Of course, solid brick or concrete construction can GREATLY increase the cost in some cases. And of course, whetehr current wiring is 2 or 3 wire matters a LOT - if just a matter of replacing outlets no big thing as one response indicates. If all new circuit wiring needs to be run for those circuits to provide grounding, can be much more plus involve repairs to plaster/drywall because of the need to cut into walls or ceilings to run the wiring.
Note also answers dealing with alternatives to 3-wire outlets (actually, many areas not use 2-wire standard) by using GFCI outlets or breakers to provide protection against shorts or indirect/miswired circuits. Can be much cheaper than running new wiring for the circuits, and provide fairly good protection.
