Also, make your passwords long and difficult for others to figure out, Inglett says. She’s actually had clients put “puppy” down as a password to secure health data.
It’s worth the extra hassle, she says, to make information more cryptic. Also, keep your health records updated, including a photocopy of your latest driver’s license/ID card, as thieves have been known to use others’ identity to get free health care.
