Houston-area auto repair shops provide exhaustive service
Whether you live north in The Woodlands or south in Fresno, you’re looking for great service, especially with service and maintenance of your car.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Houston auto repair shops as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
Stitches Auto Tops & Upholstery, Houston
Rodney Marks rides in style, thanks to Stitches Auto Tops & Upholstery. “I recently purchased a new vehicle, and the cost of factory leather along with other items was going to cost me over $5,000,” he says. “I decided to skip the upgrade and went with cloth seating. I called Stitches to see about after market leather seats, and the price was significantly less than what the dealer wanted. The installation was completed the same day I dropped it off, and the end result was great looking and feeling leather seats.”
RPM Automotive, Houston
RPM Automotive tuned in to Kelly James’ auto needs while performing an oil change and basic repairs. “You can tell they have a dedication to customer service and integrity,” she says. “I actually had a diagnostic done before taking it to them to see if they would come up with unneeded repairs. They found the same issues and quoted me less than the company I originally had complete the diagnostic. No hard selling or BS. My only concern for them is what will happen when the owners retire? How will they keep the level of service they have now? I am sure they have thought of that too!”
Memorial Collision Center, Houston
Memorial Collision Center revved up their customer service for John Capshaw. “They returned my car to its showroom glory,” he says. “Only a portion of the repairs I needed were covered by insurance, but they worked with me to get everything done at a fair price. Humid weather delayed my car’s finish date. I understood that, but the absence of a car the weekend before Christmas was going to present problems for me. In response, he gave me a loaner vehicle. When I paid my bill and picked up my beautifully restored vehicle, they gave me a bottle of Greek wine. I will always come back here!”
Clear Lake Auto Glass, Webster
Stanley Krauhs can see clearly now that the tint film was removed from the back window of his Buick. “I hadn’t been able to see clearly through my back glass for several years,” he says. “I assumed the problem was an interlayer of plastic in the back glass, and that that glass would have to be replaced costing me several hundred dollars. They took one look at the problem and told me it was just a cheap tinted film added to the window that had become wavy. They removed the film in 40 minutes.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A’s in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company’s actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they’d hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
