Housecleaning service breaks figurine

Peace broker

COMPLAINT: Rita Grossman-Vermaas, Washington, D.C.

"I hired The Green Mop to clean my whole house. They did a nice job, except for a few things. I noticed a cow figurine was broken and the piece was missing. I called the team leader to ask what happened. Apparently, one of the crew took the piece with her. They brought it back, but they should've told me when it happened.

"There's also a score on my stairway wall from what looks like a vacuum cleaner. I e-mailed (twice) and called the owner to let her know about the broken sculpture and the mark on the wall but never heard back from her. After my second e-mail, her husband told me she was dealing with a family emergency, but that she'd get back to me. I haven't heard back."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like an apology for not returning my calls or e-mails and a $90 refund."

STATUS: Resolved

Grossman-Vermaas received a full refund and compensation for the broken figurine.
