Homeowner says Woodbine company won’t repair gate
I hired Behrens Contractors in Woodbine, Maryland, to replace my backyard driveway gate. The gate itself is nice, and it was properly aligned, but now it’s overlapping and isn’t aligned properly. In fact, it’s now just as difficult to open as it was before they did any work to it.
The hardware broke off within a couple months of them replacing it. They came back to fix it a couple of times, but it broke repeatedly. Owner David Behrens told me the old poles were fine, so I believed him, but they obviously aren’t.
I sent him a certified letter explaining what my issues with the gate were, and he said he was going to come by to see them. He never did, and I’ve called back several times, but now it is obvious he is trying to avoid me. All I want is to have the gate fixed.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
