Homeowner says Southampton masons didn’t follow through on promised fixes
I hired A Champion Chimney & Masonry in Southampton, Pennsylvania, to rebuild an outside wall. They didn’t show up the first day, an inconvenience to me and my husband, who took the day off.
When they did come, their work was messy. They didn’t cut back the metal pipes used to support the wall and got concrete splotches on our driveway. When we complained, they sent someone out to power wash the driveway. When that didn’t work, they said they would resurface it, but just sent someone to power wash again.
The wall isn’t even done and the driveway looks awful. I want a refund of $2,800.

Penalty Box — Broken Promise
Editor’s note: The company said it would finish the work and fix the driveway, but the member says they didn’t finish the work.
Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
