Homeowner says Sellersville movers took their time, didn’t finish job
I hired Eastern Connection Movers in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, to move my family out of a three-bedroom home. They gave me an estimate of $1,200, and said they didn’t need to see it first.
They said three movers would show up at 8 a.m. Two movers showed up at 11 a.m., and a third arrived an hour later. They took an hour and a half lunch, and told me it was against OSHA rules for them to move my clothes dryer out of the basement without a special dolly.
Their truck was too small for the job, so they took about one-third of our furniture to the new place, then came back to reload. Around 5 p.m., I asked if they could finish that day, and they said they were on schedule. Around 3 a.m., I asked them to start wrapping up.
Finally, they handed me a bill for $1,343 at 5 a.m. after the second load was unloaded, and said they would return to move the rest. I called them multiple times to reschedule, but they always stood me up. I want a refund of $875.73, the amount I paid another company to finish the job.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
