Homeowner says Pleasant View landscaper damaged gate, air conditioner

Member complaint

I hired Integrity Lawn Care, Home Repair and Tile of Pleasant View, Tennessee, to perform lawn maintenance.

After using this company for over two years, I discovered damage to my gate leading to my backyard. The gate wouldn’t close. I pointed it out to the contractor and he stated he would repair the damage. I declined, because the fence was less than a year old and I felt compelled to have my fence contractor perform the repairs.

They came again to mow my front yard. At about 6 p.m. that day, I was working in my office and felt warm. I discovered my air conditioner was out. I called a repairman who said a weedeater had clipped the wire to the thermostat. I contacted Integrity and they stated they would reimburse me.

I sent copies of my bills to them, but never heard a word back. Then, I sent a text to the owner inquiring about his intentions of reimbursement, and still received no response. I want a refund of $295.

Have a complaint?

Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement. Subject: Air conditioner line cut

Landscaper offered me their repair company rated 1/12 stars out of 5. I choose my guy who installed the unit to the cost of 325. Landscaper says they won't pay any more then 275 since that is what their service would charge. I did not want them to touch my unit. Do I have a chose?
