Homeowner says Pikesville company poured wrong color patio
I hired ARI Concrete Construction of Pikesville, Maryland, to pour a colored patio and pad for a fire pit. President Ari Lichtman sent his partner, Killian, to inspect the work needed and provide an estimate. They came to pour concrete the next day, and Killian mixed the dye color in the mixing truck. They poured the pad and it started to rain.
I was told by the installer that the rain messed up the color, and that’s why it had a streaky appearance to it. I was told to give it a week and see what happened.
I called Killian about the patio not being the right color. He came out and looked, and agreed with me. The next day, he sent out the installers to paint it the right color, which is not what I wanted because it’s not what I paid for.
After repeated attempts to contact Killian about this issue and get it replaced, I never received phone calls back from him. I reached out to Lichtman about this issue and finally got a call and email back. He said he would replace the patio.
I wanted a date set up and to possibly have additional work to be performed to help his company offset some of the cost to replace it. I have not heard back from him or Killian about replacement of the wrong product. I want them to replace the patio they did, as they said they would do.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
