Homeowner says Overland Park concrete company took deposit and ran
I hired ClassiConcrete of Overland Park, Kan., to replace the concrete steps, stoop and part of my walkway. I paid a $1,500 deposit for the work. The owner didn’t show up on the day he was scheduled to start the work. I called him and he said he’d come the next day. After not showing again, he left a message saying he’d come another day, but again didn’t show up. I spoke with him again and he said he’d come out the next day, which he never did.
I tried to call his cell phone and office phone, but now both are disconnected. I also called their Iowa City office and left a message. I haven’t heard from anyone. Now, they have $1,500 of mine and won’t respond to me. I want my deposit returned.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
