Homeowner says Miami window company didn’t come through

I hired Strong Hurricane Shutters in Miami over a year ago to replace two windows on my condominium with impact-resistant units. I signed a contract with Steve Silguero and gave him a $500 down payment.

When the units arrived, workers pulled out the old windows, but soon found out the new ones were too small and they couldn’t install them. Steve said the windows were a custom size, so he would reorder them and contact me when they came in.

I tried to contact Steve for months afterward, and when I finally reached him last November, he said the company lost his order. He offered to work with a local manufacturer to speed things up. We scheduled a time for him to once again measure the window dimensions. I waited all day, but he never showed up and hasn’t returned my phone calls since. I want a $500 refund.
