Homeowner says Medina remodeler won’t fix flooring issue
I hired Kitchen Solutions & Remodeling of Medina, Ohio, to remodel two bathrooms in my home. I’d be much happier with the company, except for the issues I’ve had with the tile floor in my upstairs bathroom.
Shortly after the grout installation, one of the tiles started to crack. The owner came back to fix it, but within four months it started cracking again.
I tried calling the owner several times and emailed him twice over a two-month period, but received no response. The grout is now crumbling.
It appears the tile wasn’t glued to the floor properly, and there is no caulk or grout between the molding and tile floor. I asked the contractor if this was normal, but never got an answer. After researching, I believe there should’ve been caulk or grout in order to keep water from leaking under the molding.
Aside from that, the company was professional and I was overall happy with the results. But they never responded to my concerns. I want the floor and grout properly fixed.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
