Homeowner says Macedonia basement waterproofer didn’t start work
I hired Ultra-Dry Waterproofing of Macedonia to waterproof my basement. I discovered them on an auction site where they were donating 100 linear feet of basement waterproofing. I won the bid. A representative for Ultra-Dry came out and wrote up the job. I also chose to have some additional work done that I said I’d pay for.
They were supposed to start the job, but didn’t. After months of calling, they scheduled the start date. I cleared out the entire basement and thought I’d see them on the start date, but they never showed up or called. About 50 calls later, they said I wasn’t on the schedule. I had to unhook the washer and dryer and move everything from the basement. I can’t start my basement flooring job until this is done.
I’ve left voice mails, wrote emails and still don’t get a call back. Is it that the company donated this job for a good cause and now doesn’t want to do the work? I need to make sure they don’t use this as a tax write-off since they aren’t keeping their end of the bargain. I want the job completed as described in our contract.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
