Homeowner says Kansas City contractor left shoddy work
I hired Apex Remodeling Group of Kansas City, Mo., to reinstall a sink in the master bathroom, paint interior rooms, install recess lighting, put a new mantle on the fireplace, install crown molding and refinish and stain the wood beams on the ceiling. I cannot find strong enough language to caution people not to use this contractor for any repair or remodeling work, ever. The repair work was shoddy at best and incomplete. The workmanship was unprofessional and the materials they used were cheap. I’ve left multiple emails and voicemails for Torey Logan, but it appears he’s fallen off the face of the planet. The tiling work he did is uneven and unfinished, the recess lighting was installed incorrectly, they left a large gap in the fireplace mantel, the paint job is horrible and has drips in it and there are exposed nails. The list of bad work goes on. I paid in full and regret it. I want a $1,900 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
