Homeowner says Gainesville tree service company left behind debris
They were supposed to return early to remove the debris before a holiday. They did come late one night and cleaned up one tree and I paid them. They came again on the holiday, but I never saw them again.
I also paid them to take down another tree. They cashed the check, but never did the work. They also never fully cleaned up the debris as promised. Now I’ve paid $450 for an incomplete job and have to pay another company $175 to finish the work.
I called the owner repeatedly. He promised they would fix it, and I never heard from them again. It was a horrible experience. I want a $325 refund — $150 for the tree they didn’t cut down and $175 to reimburse me for having to hire someone else to fix the job.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
