Homeowner says faulty basement waterproofing caused damages
I hired Ultra-Dry Waterproofing of Macedonia, Ohio, to waterproof my basement from the inside. I've been going back and forth with them ever since.
They did the work incorrectly the first time. Water was still coming through on the floor. I also realized someone cut and covered the main water line, as well as drip lines from the boiler system. Someone also covered a door for the chimney cleanout.
I contacted the company, and they agreed to fix my basement and cover the $650 cost to replace the missing pipes. They also agreed to replace my door for the chimney cleanout.
They redid the waterproofing, but the other issues remain. They haven’t made the payments promised to me over the course of several months.
I gave the company photos and receipts for work I needed to do to repair the damage their employee caused. We made several appointments, and no one showed up. They haven’t returned my calls and messages.
I want them to provide a $650 refund for damages and replace my chimney cleanout door.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
