Homeowner says Cuyahoga Falls roofer didn’t correct shoddy work
I hired C F Roof & Gutter of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, for a full roof replacement as part of a Big Deal.
The crew was very rushed and left materials on the roof for several days. They completed the work after sundown, and didn’t adequately tar over the nail heads, resulting in a leak in my dining room.
A representative assessed the situation when I complained, but never followed up on whether the repair was completed. I’ve had two more leaks since them. They came out to re-tar them, but didn’t do anything about the damaged walls and ceilings.
I’m afraid I’m going to have to contact another contractor to do the interior repairs. Also, I was temporarily dropped from my homeowner’s policy, because they refused to send a letter stating the roof repair had been completed.
I would like either a full refund, the repairs to be completed or a reimbursement for the costs associated with water-damaged roofing, underlayment, walls and ceilings, and a professional dry cleaning for suits and other clothes that were in the closet.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
