Homeowner says Austin umbrella retailer didn't stand by its warranty
I bought an expensive poolside patio umbrella from Chair King of Austin’s Lake location. It came with a 12-month warranty. After six or seven months, we noticed significant fraying on the central support cord and contacted Chair King.
They told us to bring it in and that they would send it back to the factory for repair. We had to transport it ourselves, or pay $95 each way, something that I thought should be covered since the product was defective.
More than two months, several phone calls, emails and missed delivery dates, we still don't have it back. I want a replacement umbrella of the same brand, size, and color, or a full refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
