Homeowner alleges Boston lawn service 'killed plants'

COMPLAINT: Christopher Lafarge, Wayland, Mass.
"The Lawn Company spread fertilizer/lime on my lawn, and I specifically arranged for NO herbicides.

Within months, they killed plants I have been cultivating for more than 10 years.

TLC admitted their error and offered services in compensation.

The final straw was receiving a collection letter for the final $106 (plus a $25 collection fee) of the $348–– for which I hadn't received an invoice.

They claimed they sent five or six letters about a past due balance before turning it over to collection, none of which I received.

One letter lost in the mail I can believe, but five or six, I cannot.

This is a wonderful example of extremely poor customer relations."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want the $25 fee reimbursed."

STATUS: Penalty box

we are currently trying to cancel their service that began this Spring. We were at zero balance and they sent us a bill with a 7$8 charge with "codes" as their explanation for the charge. Seems we are getting penalized for cancelling this service and we are totally unsatisfied with the brown lawn, grubs and crab grass - they indicated that the 100% money back guarantee doesn't apply becuase we spoke to a technician and didnt call the office within 10 days. Bad business bad customer relations
