Homeowner’s New Landscaping Made for Shade
Angie’s List member Nancy Y. says she found it difficult to get anything to grow in the dense, shady front yard at her Carrollton, Texas, home. When she couldn’t take it any longer, Nancy called in the pros to get things growing.
Nancy hired highly rated Graves Lawn and Landscape in Royse City, Texas, to design and execute the $6,000 job.
“The designer was prompt, professional and talented in giving us a plan to use our existing shrubs and extend beds where we couldn’t even get St. Augustine [grass] to grow,” she writes in her Page of Happiness-nominated review.
The company installed flower beds with Oklahoma chop stone edging, a few moss boulders for accents and adjusted the sprinklers.
Nancy says she couldn’t be happier. “The plants were an excellent variety of all shade-loving plants and shrubs,” she says “We also had a flagstone paver path installed from the sidewalk to the driveway. New compost was brought in for the beds and everything was finished with hardwood mulch.”
