Home remodeling and renovation project restores Indianapolis house
We’re spotlighting a review from member Julie Landrum, who shared great details and photos about her Indianapolis home remodeling and renovation project as performed by M-Wood Corporation on the Near Southeastside.
Angie’s List reviews like this one are especially helpful because they include all the particulars along with great before and after photos, which let members know why you think they should hire or steer clear of a company. So the next time you submit a review, don’t spare the details or the visuals!
We bought a home that had been abandoned for at least 10 years. The house had several original features that we wanted to preserve, such as a unique banister, pocket doors and an ornate fireplace. Other than that, the house really needed everything: all new electrical, plumbing and mechanicals.
M-Wood worked with us on the budget to help identify all the rehab that needed done. They encouraged us to be as involved as we wanted to be. They also found creative ways to minimize costs on luxury items (a custom kitchen island, hardwood floors, and shower and bath tile) while not cutting corners on ways to save energy costs long term.
M-Wood was the most expensive of the quotes we got on the job, but it was well worth it for the peace of mind and quality.
