Home inspector provides peace of mind
Owner James Wright saved homeowner Paul Mason $9,000 by suggesting an alternative to an extensive basement waterproofing job.
"James recommended I clean my foundation drains and improve the soil grade on one side of the house," Mason says. "When the plumber came to clean the drains, he found a break in one of them precisely outside the damp spot in my basement. Once that was fixed, the seepage problem went away.
"I now have peace of mind knowing that as long as I correctly manage the flow of water outside the house, my basement is secure."
