Harrisburg flooring company fixes issues
I hired Klassic Karpets of Harrisburg, Ohio, to install carpet, laminate and vinyl flooring in my home. The carpet looked good, but the vinyl has bubbles in it. After all the flooring was installed, I asked about the trim. The tech told me they usually stain the trim in the shop and it’s really expensive, but said I could buy my own and pay them to install it later.
I paid for someone to come back and install the trim I purchased elsewhere, but they said nothing could be done about the bubbles in the vinyl. Then the laminate began to buckle. It was installed too tight around the edges. I called the owner and told him and also expressed my concern that they didn’t put down an underlayment beneath the laminate. He said that’s usually not their practice. I’ve had laminate installed before and most companies install an underlayment.
The owner sent a tech back, who took a knife and sawed around the edges of the laminate so it wasn’t so tight, but it’s still buckling even after that. They’ve made no effort since then to correct the work or refund my money. They’ve had ample time to make it right. I want an $800 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
