"I'm generally pleased with the job they did refinishing the existing hardwood floors. Despite their 100-year-plus age, the floors look spectacular.
"However, I'm not at all pleased with the new hardwood floor in the kitchen.
"First, it appears that they varnished the floor without cleaning it sufficiently, as there are bits of sawdust stuck to the floor. Second, it appears the floor wasn't sanded sufficiently between varnish coats; the varnish doesn't adhere to the wood in numerous places.
"After the job was completed, I called the project manager to have him send someone to fix these issues. A worker came, spent less than 30 minutes trying to fix some of the problems and told me I'd have to deal with it myself."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want Mr. Floor to correct the varnish problem, and revarnish the floor and restain the wood if necessary."
Editor's Note: The member informed Angie's List that Mr. Floor returned and repaired the flooring to her satisfaction. She considers the matter closed.
