Grandma's care may make your kid fat, study says

Children cared for by their grandparents are a third more likely to be overweight, according to a recent study published in the International Journal of Obesity.

"Organized day care usually has more policies regarding activity, snack and play time than in-home day care," says Dr. Robert D. Murray, director of the Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition in Columbus, Ohio. "The lack of structure is what leads to real weight problems."
