Go green with low-VOC interior paints

Improving indoor air quality in your home starts by choosing paints that emit very little or no toxic breathable gases known as Volatile Organic Compounds.
"When a product label says 'use in a ventilated area,' you know it can't be safe," says Terry Black, owner of Green Way Supply in Indianapolis, who adds that healthy paints are similar in cost to any premium paint, cover well and are just as durable. "You don't have to compromise your values to buy a green product."
