Furniture movers accused of stealing Charleston items

COMPLAINT: Lisa Fox, Summerville, S.C.

I hired Two Men and a Truck, Air Park Road, Charleston, S.C., to move me from a two-bedroom townhouse to a one-floor house. Let's change the name to 'Two Careless Thieves in a Truck.'

To start with, they did serious damage to all my wood furniture. They stole numerous electronic items and and an antique piggy bank that belonged to my deceased mother-in-law.

DESIRED RESOLUTION: I would like the replacement cost of the missing items, about $1,500, and repairs to the damaged furniture.

RESPONSE: Chris Swanson, owner, Two Men and a Truck

The member signed all paperwork at the end of the move. Our office wasn't notified of any damages. The team who moved her has worked for our company for more than a year, completing approximately 300 moves. They've never received a complaint. If a customer feels an item has been taken without their permission, we encourage them to file a police report. To date, we have not been contacted by the local authorities.
