Fresh Paint Gives Century-Old Dallas Home New Life
When the age was starting to show on her nearly century-old home, Angie’s List member Pat S. of Dallas felt it was time to return it to former glory. Besides some carpentry work to repair the wood-frame house, Pat knew the house desperately needed fresh paint.
Pat received bids from four painting companies, but decided to hire highly rated Sun Painting Texas in Arlington, after talking to general manager Mark Brozio. “He answered all my questions about the standard procedures, the types and brands of paint and all services that would be performed,” Pat writes in her Page of Happiness nominated review. “His [$6,400] bid was considerably lower than the three other estimates.”
The Sun Painting crew power washed the entire house, cleaned up any loose paint, caulked the joints and cracks, re-glazed the windows and then painted two coats. “I never saw anyone slacking off,” Pat says. “This was the case all six days that they worked for me.”
Pat says her house now looks great, but she isn’t the only one who thinks so. “All my friends and neighbors have been effusive in their praise for the quality of the work,” she says. “My little bungalow will be 100 years old next year. Now it looks almost new!”
