Fort Lauderdale member says he seeks refund after misguided auto service
I hired Firestone Complete Auto Care Store of Southwest Ranches, Fla., to install a new tire on my wife’s car. The mechanic said the car needed new front brakes. I took it to the dealership because it was still under warranty, and they said the car didn’t need brakes.
I took my wife’s car back, and the manager inspected the car and said his mechanic was mistaken and it didn’t need front brakes, but would need back ones soon. I also took my car to Firestone for a tire rotation and alignment, and the tires weren’t rotated. The manager said his mechanic overlooked the tire rotation, and he offered me free tire balancing and an oil change. I want Firestone to refund the price for the lifetime alignment service I purchased.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
