Fort Lauderdale boat repairs end in engine damage, member says
I hired Joel’s Outboard Marine of Fort Lauderdale to service the engines in my boat. The mechanic didn’t do the repairs and kept adding on to my bill for things he never did. He damaged the engines instead of repairing them. He quoted me $2,500 for parts that I then provided, so that amount should be removed from my bill. He quoted me for unnecessary work. He’s a gouger, and he bills you for services he doesn’t provide. I want a $3,600 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
