Failing tires make car purchase fall flat, Naples member says
A few months after we bought the car, one of the tires was losing air pressure. My wife took the car back and she was told we had the tire plugged and their records showed we had it done it a month before we purchased the car.
They patched the tire and said it would be fine. A week later, I noticed the rims had scratches on them, so I called Mercedes again about the rim problem. I was told that the damage must’ve been caused at the carwash.
This was one problem I could resolve simply because I’m a car collector of classic and collector cars, and the carwash does all of my detailing before car shows. It turns out the same business does all of the dealership’s detailing as well.
My mechanic tells me the tire-changing machine most likely caused the damage. Now the tire is going flat again.
The dealership should’ve put new tires on the car before they sold it. I want them to put new tires on the car.

Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
