Driver says car dealership sold her two lemons
Shawnee Mission Ford in Kansas City, Kansas, sold me two used cars that had issues. I bought a 2002 Dodge Intrepid in July, 2013. The engine went out on the vehicle in nine months.
They replaced this vehicle with a 2006 Chevy Aveo, which was a basic model and not comparable to the previous car at all. I had this car not even a month before the check engine light came on.
They called me to pick the car up, and before I could make it home, I was on the side of the highway. They picked the car up, fixed it, and my check engine light came on again within two weeks.
How many times do I have to get behind the wheel of a car that I am praying makes it to where I am going, when I am making payments for another two-plus years? When I left the manager a message he had the service repair lady call me, but she had no idea why she was calling me.
I love Ford, but I will never deal with this dealership ever again! I want a refund of $860 and to cancel the contract.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
