COMPLAINT: Mary Sanger, Grove City, Ohio
"I hired Scape's Landscaping & Lawn Care to complete the hardscape of my backyard, which would have included a large paver patio off my deck complete with flagstone and river rock, two planter beds, and a pondless waterfall.
"The excavating machine broke the first day and SLLC never brought it back. Instead, they built up the area for the paver patio so high that there's no room for proper steps off my deck. I expressed disappointment and asked that they take the unfinished portion down to the proper height. They started digging for the waterfall, and it's now a green, scummy pond.
"I have a huge pile of dirt that my dogs love to play King of the Mountain on and get filthy. After SLLC had built the base for the paver deck so high, they asked me for more money because they overspent on gravel to build up that awful thing.
"After I got angry, bad weather set in and they avoided me. They could have finished it if they had worked real days. I'm extremely disappointed and feel I will have to pay someone else to finish it. They haven't returned my calls or e-mails. I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to live the rest of my life in a mud hole."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like them to complete the entire hardscape project."
