COMPLAINT: Dana Wilson, Garland, Texas
"I hired Pope Plumbing to repair my tub and shower valve. Two months after this repair, I suddenly couldn't turn off water from the 'repaired' faucet.
"Pope still hasn't phoned; worse, they didn't not honor the 90-day guarantee on their invoice. I had to hire someone else to fix it, and that plumber took one look and said that the job Pope did the first time was a mess."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like a reimbursement of $431.25: $361.25 for Pope Plumbing's the original Pope Plumbing service and $70 for the plumber I had to use when Pope didn't return my repeated calls or honor their warranty on this service."
RESPONSE: Tim Chapman, vice-president, Pope Plumbing
"We worked on her existing shower valves and stand by our warranty as written. It is important to us that the customer is home, and we have yet to get an answer on the telephone allowing us to dispatch a plumber."
