COMPLAINT: Linda Beachum, Dallas
"Arpin America Moving Systems LLC packed, crated, moved and uncrated my household goods - all of the crating and uncrating was completed by another company that Arpin hired. The majority of the goods were placed in storage at the Arpin facility in Dallas while I searched for a new home. They delivered a portion of the goods to the apartment where I lived while house hunting.
"Once I'd purchased my new home, Arpin moved the items from the apartment to the house. Several weeks later, they delivered items that had been in storage. I could see damage on both delivery days, and items were missing from the inventory. I had some comfort in the fact that I'd purchased additional replacement coverage insurance when the sales representative, Greg Biasatti, gave me the original estimates.
"That comfort was quickly smashed, however, after I filed a very detailed claim in a timely manner with all necessary estimates, receipts and documentation, and it was denied. I filed a complaint and attempted mediation, but Arpin denied any responsibility."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "Arpin America Moving Systems should take responsibility for the damages and provide me the money necessary to repair the damages and/or replace the missing items."
