Dallas dog trainer accused of dropping the ball

Dallas dog trainer accused of dropping the ball

COMPLAINT: Beryl Saucer, Dallas

“I hired Man’s Best Friend to train my dog, Scout. I paid them $2,000 and left him with them for two weeks.

"When I picked him up, he was still aggressive and poorly trained. The trainer then missed two scheduled home training sessions.

"The company assigned a new trainer, who made one home visit but hasn’t followed up since.”

DESIRED RESOLUTION: “I want a $2,000 refund.”

RESPONSE: Jamie Marsh, regional operations manager, Man’s Best Friend

“Mrs. Saucer has very legitimate concerns about being stood up twice. I sent Bryan Black, our assistant manager, to continue the training.

"However, one of our trainers was severely bitten by a dog, and Mr. Black had to cover his workload as well.

"Unfortunately, we have not met Mrs. Saucer’s expectations. We are willing to offer a full refund, minus two weeks’ boarding expenses.”

STATUS: Resolved
