Customers rave about San Antonio carpet cleaners

Whether you live in Castle Hills or Shavano Park, you’re looking for great service, especially when you have stained or dirty carpets.

Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from San Antonio-area carpet cleaners as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.

Clean carpets, happy tenants

When Egon and Phyllis Tausch needed the carpets in an apartment cleaned before a new tenant arrived, the couple turned to a local company they thought could deal with the complexities of an old building. “This particular part of the building was built about 1900 to 1910,” Phyllis says.

They called Wolfman Carpet Cleaning of San Antonio. “The owner came out about an hour after I called, checked the carpeting, which he said was still in good condition and could be cleaned. I warned him that the carpeting was over an old wooden floor, laid at the time the apartment was added on to the building and asked if the cleaning would harm the floor. He said it wouldn’t.

"When I asked him the price for the two rooms, and he said it would be $60, I was flabbergasted," she says. "Everybody else I’d hired previous to this wanted much more. I checked with the tenants several times later, and they said that some of the stains had come back, but the carpet being a dark reddish-purple, the stains didn’t show much, and they were quite happy. So, if my tenant is happy, I am happy.”

Out, out, Spot's spots!

Rachel Edwards says she won’t use any other company but Aladdin Cleaning & Restoration of San Antonio when she needs carpets or rugs cleaned. “All the carpets were cleaned and treated for pet stains,” she says. “The gentlemen moved furniture as needed to complete a thorough cleaning.

"They did an excellent job, and the carpets no longer have a lingering odor," she says. "They smell fresh! Last year they cleaned an Oriental rug for pet stains and did a great job as well. I’ll continue to use them when needed.”

No more 'doggy smells'

After a quote over the phone from Heaven’s Best Carpet Cleaning of San Antonio, Stephen Minor set an appointment to have his sofa cleaned and added service at the appointment. “The sofa looked and smelled so good that I asked for a quote on the rug and also for the stairs,” he says. “The price was more than reasonable, so I had Matt [Dooley] clean those as well.

"I was worried that the doggy smells would return after everything was completely dry, but the doggy odors did not return," he says. "This was the best investment I’ve made in a long time! I’ll definitely be using them again!”

Treating high-traffic areas

Impressed with a quick response and availability that fit her schedule, Kathleen Zurawel hired Admiral Chem Dry of San Antonio to clean her carpets and apply a protectant. “It didn’t seem to take very long, and they were done within an hour of arriving,” she says. “I had to allow two hours for drying. The carpets look better than I expected.

"They paid special attention to the high-traffic areas I’d pointed out, and they look great," she says. "I used this same company seven years ago when I first moved into my house, and I would definitely use them again.”

About Posts of Happiness

At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.

We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.

After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
