Customer wants refund for water heater repair
COMPLAINT: Nicki Ramos, La Quinta, Calif.
"After Benjamin Franklin of Riverside [Calif.] serviced my water heater, I started to have problems. They came back and said there was a problem with a valve and replaced it. I trusted this would fix the problem, but it caused a flood. I spoke with the manager, who said they couldn't do anything because my water heater was 15 years old. They said I would have to replace the water heater and hung up on me."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like a refund of what I paid them and to be reimbursed for what I paid to repair the damage the leak caused."
Editor's note: Both sides could not agree to a resolution in this case. However, Benjamin Franklin chose not to publish a response.
