Customer says Henderson auto service’s tuneup and inspection caused bad brakes
I hired Purrfect Auto Service of Henderson, Nev., for a tuneup and inspection on my car. After they did the work, my emergency brakes weren’t working and the front brakes were spongy. My husband almost got into an accident twice on one rainy night because of the brakes.
I called Todd, the manager, but he was in denial and getting defensive. He also put the wrong VIN on my smog certificate. I had other mechanics take a look, and they told me they had either used too much pressure during the fluid change or failed to bleed the brakes, both of which would cause braking problems.
I would like them to provide a $209 refund, reimburse us for the repairs by our mechanic, and compensation for the loss of the use of our car for 17 days.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
